Centro is the scalable centerpiece of The JAVS System and represents the next generation advanced audio video processor. Supporting up to 8 configurable cameras, 14 configurable mics, built-in audio & video conferencing, integrated digital presentation, interpretation and remote feeds — our next generation rack-mounted processor is a definite game-changer. Instead of using expensive pan/tilt/zoom cameras requiring an operator to cover each participant in the room, each person is covered via a microphone connected to a corresponding camera. When a person speaks, the video intelligently switches to the designated camera to produce a video experience similar to watching an expensive television production. Our legendary superior audio quality is the result of sophisticated audio adjustment algorithms embedded into our processors combined with perfectly matched boundary-style microphones. No other system can do what a JAVS system can do because no other system is powered by Centro!
Fully integrated with our software, Recorder 7 provides courts the ability to record a verbatim digital audio video record for distribution via any popular medium, including your network or the Internet. Our recorders allow you to choose the resolution required to work with your network limitations and your retention requirements at a level of confidence unavailable from desktop PC-based software recording systems. In our recommended configuration, there will be (2) recorders — a primary recorder and a secondary recorder for redundancy and instant review.
Our video cameras are specially manufactured for use with The JAVS System. Because all the components in our Centro-powered solutions connect to the system via simple Ethernet network cables that plug directly into the back of the camera and directly into the back of the a/v processor, our system is much easier to install. Camera adjustments can be made remotely over the network meaning that once our cameras are physically placed, future adjustments are a snap!
Centro’s tight integration with our specially manufactured FlexMicrophone is a key component to our innovative approach to A/V management. For example, the tri-colored indicator lights on the microphone allow the processor to inform the user if the system is in Record Mode, Private Mode, or if an error has occurred. The programmable “push button” traditionally used for a “Push to Talk” or “Push to Mute” function can be programmed for other desired functions or for use by 3rd party applications. The combination of the FlexMicrophone with Centro’s Dynamic Adaptive Threshold™ and Microphone Proximity Awareness™ allow our system to detect, broadcast and capture every word in the always dynamic courtroom environments .

Control Center 7 is a touch screen interface designed for the purposes of starting and stopping sessions, controlling the audio video processor, as well as the room environment. ControlCenter 7 gives the users the ability to interact with any JAVS system without a keyboard or mouse. The control panel is configured to the room and the environment, rather than programmed. This removes the considerable expense associated with typical touch panel control systems. Although the control center is not required, we strongly recommend one for each judge’s bench based on the feedback we receive from judges using a control center to run their JAVS system.

Our fault tolerant server solution will enable the enterprise features of our software modules while providing full recording redundancy. As an embedded hardware appliance, Server 7 will allow centralized session information, scheduling and shared users/groups for all JAVS systems connected on the network. Configured as two, single rack unit devices, both using enterprise-grade, server-class hardware, each device is running its own copy of Microsoft SQL 2008 and it’s own copy of the JAVS database. Server 7 is also available as a software-only solution for courts wishing to use their own servers.
Bookshelf 7 is a RAID 6 fault tolerant enterprise?level session archival solution designed specifically to be used with JAVS Suite 7 software. With this solution, all session files on your recording device are automatically moved from the recorder to the server and all links in the database are updated to point to the bookshelf server along with the recorder. This allows the recorder to identify to a user that the drive is full. Bookshelf 7 requires Server 7 to operate. Optional JAVS Queue™ transcription queuing software can be added that allows for the management and distribution of segmented recordings to in-house court transcribers producing daily transcripts of digitally recorded proceedings.
Signage 7 is a rack-mountable, network enabled, hardware device designed to enable the display of the court schedule for a given location on a VGA, DVI-D or HDMI connected monitor of your choice. The player can be configured for portrait or landscape mode, on either a 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratios. Signage 7 connects to the JAVS scheduling database and displays the schedules automatically. This removes the need for personnel to learn new software and daily create dynamic content, such as schedules. When no schedules are available, Signage 7 can display slides to notify a client’s audience of upcoming events and notices, as well as venue rules and etiquette.

Designs range from mobile units to be wheeled from room-to-room to fixed position and ADA compliant designs. Annotation over images and video, integrated sound systems, wireless controls, document cameras — the combinations are endless. Display your content over projectors, LCD and plasma panels or drive your evidence presentation from an attorney’s laptop or iPad. EZ Persuasion makes digital evidence presentation a truly “plug & play” experience!
