Recorder 7

JAVS Recorder 7 can provide years of on-line storage in the Windows Media Video format. Encoding templates are optimized for use over LAN, WAN and the internet. With both stereo and multi-track audio recording capabilities, you can rest assured your proceedings and business meetings are being captured clearly and in industry recognized standards.

Recorder 7 Standard uses Microsoft Windows Media format, so files are non-proprietary and accessible to anyone in the networked world. Your recorded content will be seen and usable immediately, with no downloads or plug-ins necessary.

Recorder 7 is available in two models—standard and deluxe. The standard is an economical, 100Mb network optimized recorder capable of providing up to 30 months* of recordings, available at anytime over a local area network.

For public access channels or local news footage, you may need higher resolution video. Recorder 7 Deluxe provides standard definition video quality for all your viewing needs.

The integrated front panel controls and LCD display simplify use and provide visual indication of the recorder status. Configure network settings, start and stop record sessions all from the front of the appliance. To assemble a more comprehensive recording, JAVS AutoLog 7—logging and control software, allows a user to add parties and proceeding information to record sessions for rich media assets.

To playback a recording, no desktop downloads are necessary, files play in Microsoft’s Windows Media Player. JAVS Viewer 7 is a feature rich media player software application available for free. Volume controls for each available audio channel allow a user to mix out unnecessary audio. Session log controls allow the user to view and select each event in the session log, transporting the user to the exact spot in the recording.

JAVS Recorder 7 is a self contained, professional hardware device designed for the express use for digital recording. Having a dedicated recorder helps prevent recording errors due to 3rd party software interfering with record settings or system resources. Having a dedicated hardware recorder allows users to control the device from multiple locations; much more flexible than a software recorder relying on the PC where the software is installed.

Since the recorder may be the repository for sensitive materials, security measures are included to prevent unauthorized access to any restricted files. All files are accessed and transferred over SFTP, a file transfer program similar to FTP, except SFTP performs all functions over an encrypted connection. This prevents unauthorized access of any media file stored on the recorder. Users are required to login to the recorder with an authorized username and password through an SFTP client program, or any of JAVS Suite 7 software applications.

*-30 months is based on standard stereo template used for approximately 7 hours a day, 220 days a year
